What kind of information do we collect and when?

We may collect personal information from you when you visit our website, attend our stand at a motorcycle exhibition/event or book with us online or by phone. If we do not collect this, we may be unable to provide you with the information about your adventure, any rental agreements or other travel products that you have requested. Personal information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, postal address, phone number, driving licence, passport information and debit/credit card number the latter which is not stored with Your Adventure Life. We maintain a record on our data base of your travel interests and the bookings and enquiries you make online or by phone. Our data base is owned and operated by Your Adventure Life and has no third-party access via the website or any email marketing.

We may use your personal information to enhance and tailor your experiences with Your Adventure Life to provide you with the highest quality services possible. Process your customer booking, which includes sending you emails to confirm your booking status and then providing important information such as your personalised adventure book. Handle sensitive personal data, such as health information, e.g. food allergy, where it is needed to ensure safe completion of your adventure.

Payments

We utilise a third-party payment gateway, Square is our provider to take payments. Follow this link to view their privacy policy.

Marketing

After your adventure we may ask for a testimonial to use on our website or social media platforms. If you wish to provide this information you are in agreeance that this will be in the public domain to share your experience with future customers and to help us manage and improve our adventures. 

We may send information relating to future adventures and company news via our email newsletter, using Mailchimp follow this link to view Mailchimp’s privacy policy for ‘Contacts’. You can opt in or out of our email marketing communications at any time by following our newsletter subscribe or unsubscribe links.

May need to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against any legal claims, or when necessary, to investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected illegal activities or fraud, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of you, us, or a third party.

 

Does Your Adventure Life share my information?

Once booked to assist us in providing the best adventure experience we share some information with third party companies, for administrative purposes only i.e bookings and rentals.  We take steps to ensure that these companies are obliged to keep the personal information that we provide to them confidential and to use such information only as we permit.

There may also be instances where the law requires, we disclose your personal information to respond in certain legal situations e.g. border security agencies or Court Orders.

Cookie Policy

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. It may also be used for the purpose of running re-marketing adverts to you about our products and services.

How long does Your Adventure Life retain personal data?

We never sell our data to third parties. In order to comply with UK legislation, emails, booking forms, printed booking records and personal data are held on our CRM database are held for 7 years.

What about links to other websites?

For your convenience, our website may contain links to other companies’ sites which may have privacy notices that differ from our own. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites. We recommend that you review the privacy notice of any site that you access through our sites.

How do I Opt-in or Opt-out of promotional communications?

We want you to be happy to hear from us and only want to communicate with you if you want to hear from us!
